1000 Rosen takes place in a small grimy industrial city deep in the province. The complete economy depends on the enormous wire factory. But in the city, rumors are buzzing around concerning the closure of the factory, because the demand for fencing decreases. One day heavy commotion arises at the small square in the city. A group of American businessmen has arrived, among which Mr. Marshall (Rik Launspach). During the weekend an unnatural silence falls over the borough. The factory has come to a stop. Everything appears to be bought by Mr. Marshall. The borough finds itself in total desperation. There is plundering everywhere, the borough all of a sudden seems to be overgrown by shrubs and trees.
