Gazillion Movies Review :
New York, 1988. The city becomes startled by a violent gang war, which costs a lot of lives, among them those of police officers. Bobby Green (Joaquin Phoenix) is a man who stands between two extremes. He is the manager of a Russian nightclub in Brooklyn where the heavy Russian gangsters are as one of the family. At the other side there is his brother Joseph (Mark Wahlberg), a police-lieutenant, who followed the footsteps of their legendary father Burt (Robert Duvall). The tensions get to a climax and Bobby has to choose a side.
