Gazillion Movies Review :
Jack Bull (Skeet Ulrich) and Jake Roedel (Tobey Maguire) are good friends when the civil war starts. Jack’s father is being killed by the Northern army. Jack and Jake join the Southern troops to take part in a combat. After some fights they have to go into hiding with two others of the Southern army in a self built hut. The hut stands on the ground of a man who has a daughter-in-law who just became a widow. Jack Bull becomes amorously, but then the man of whom the ground is, is killed. In a last chance to save him they try to amputate his arm, without success. Jake and the two other Southerners, Holt (Jeffrey Wright) and George (Don Shanks), return to the army.
