Gazillion Movies Review :
'Ong-Bak' is a Buddha statue that stands in the Nong Pra-du temple at the countryside of Thailand. The villagers believe that Ong-Bak has magical powers and that he will guard them from evil. On a dark night a former inhabitant of the village, Don (Wannakit Siriput), chops off the head of the statue to get in the grace of crime king Khom Tuan. The young warrior Ting (Tony Jaa), must call back the chopped off head of the Buddha statue. To regain the head of the Buddha Ting must compete in illegal street fights with local but also foreign opponents. His superior techniques turn him rapidly into a champion and when he is promised that he will get the head of Ong-Bak back, he is even prepared to go down in a fight against the Burmese boxer Saming.
