Treasure hunter Benjamin Franklin Gates (Nicolas Cage) starts an investigation into the killing of former President Abraham Lincoln by John Wilkes Booth. Gates has found his diary in which 18 pages are missing. The assassination appears to be connected with a plot that reaches far over the America borders.
