Gazillion Movies Review :
During WO II, under the iron regime of the Nazi's, the lives of the Jews in a Polish ghetto in Warsaw exist of starvation, maltreatment and complete cut of from the outside world. A poor Jewish café owner, Jakob Heym (Robin Williams) by accident hears a forbidden radio news bulletin about the success of the Soviet army against the Germans. To push back the big depression and the number of suicides in the Jewish ghetto, Jacob broadcasts stories about fictitious victories of the Allies on the Nazi's. Because of this slowly the optimism and the belief in the future returns in the ghetto. However, the Germans hear the rumours about a 'secret radio' and go in search for the one who dares to undermine their authority.
