Gazillion Movies Review :
Lora (Lana Turner) is an actress who doesn’t succeed in breaking through. One day at the beach Lora and her daughter meet the black Annie (Juanita Moore) and her daughter Sarah Jane (Susan Kohner), who has the appearance of a white one. Annie is looking for a place to stay and she and Sarah Jane can stay at Lora’s place as a help in the household. When the years go by the success of being an actress for Lora comes nevertheless and the four stayed together all that time. But already since her youth Sarah Jane has problems with the fact that she has black roots and she tries to hide this as good as possible for the outside world, to her mother’s sorrow.
