Octavius, the 17-years-old cousin of Caesar, is a Roman citizen who welcomes Caesar at his re-entry from Spain. But amongst the select company nobles that surrounds Caesar, disorder, anger and resentment is brewing. Only a few days later, on March 15th, Caesar becomes the victim of a conspiracy where also the senators Cassius and Brutus have been involved with; 23 stab wounds put an end to the life of the celebrated dictator. With his last strengths Caesar appoints is impulsive and inexperienced cousin Octavius as the successor.
