Gazillion Movies Review :
Sunday 30 January 1972, Derry, Northern Ireland. Ivan Cooper (James Nesbitt) organizes a non-violent march for equal rights between Catholics and Protestants. He is definitely intending to exclude all violence between the different parties. But in spite of his consultation with the Unionist authorities and his attempts to negotiate with the British Order Forces the demonstration gets out of hand: thirteen people are shot by the army. Since that day January 30th is known as "Bloody Sunday". A date, which also meant the start of the civil war in Northern Ireland.
