Gazillion Movies Review :
After his discovery, the young graffiti artist Jean Michel Basquiat (Jeffrey Wright) directly is labelled as one of the biggest talents of the New York art scene. He becomes a part of the small group of confidants of Andy Warhol (David Bowie). His paintings are good sold by important museums and art collectors, and the media put a lot of attention to the first black artist who has success in an art-world mainly dominated by Caucasians. But whereas Basquiat continues becoming a bigger star, he bends under the pressure of his own success. His life gets a fatal inversion when he starts using alcohol and drugs.
