Gazillion Movies Review :
Commodus, the evil heir to the throne of Marcus Aurelius, sentences the Roman general Maximus to dead. Maximus has a narrow escape, but his wife and son are killed by brute force. When he exhausted has berried their soulless bodies, slave traders who sell him to gladiator master Proximo find him. Proximo succeeds in making Maximus fight in the Colosseum as a gladiator, and pretty quickly Maximus starts realizing that this is possibly the only way to get revenge on the Emperor.
