Movie Plot : The feudal, 16e-eeuwse Japan is afflicted by wars of traveling gangs. One of those gangs has it in for the harvest of a small farmer village, but the gang members decide to return if the harvest is finished. A villager hears this conversation and the rural senior goes in search of unemployed samurai, who wants to defend the village in exchange of food. They find an older, battle-weary samurai, who has sympathy for the defenseless villagers and accept their request. He even recruits five other samurai and can count on a volunteer: the inexpert, but self-confident Kikuchiyo (Toshiro Mifune). The other six have been experienced warriors, but know that they must face a large supremacy.
