Movie Plot : Juvenile film about the 11-year-old Polleke who grows up in a large city at her eccentric mother (Halina Reijn) and in the meantime has to take care a bit for her poet-junkie father (Daan Schuurmans). In the course of the movie Polleke finds out the real value of friendship and experiences all ups and downs, which belongs to a real first love. Movie Plot : The by now 10-years-old Madelief never have had contact with her grandparents when she on a certain day gets to hear of her mother that her granny has died. To Madeliefs surprise there is nobody present on the burial except her grandfather and nor her mother, nor her grandfather has been really sad. To provide her grandfather some diversion, Madelief decide to stay with him for a while. There they discover in the wild backyard a mysterious cottage that has been of her grandmother. In spite of the prohibition of her grandfather she goes out for an investigation and discovers all kinds of goods from distant countries. Moreover she gets fascinated by a mysterious drawing, which is scraped in the tabletop of grannies desk. Madelief is determined to find out which secrets her granny carried along with her.

Movie Plot : “De Noorderlingen” is a movie about the occupants of the only street in a new district that never has been finished in 1960. Thomas (Leonard Lucieer) is a 12-year-old boy who dresses himself as a Negro and calls himself Lumumba. His parents, the butcher (Jack Wouterse) and his wife Martha (Annet Malherbe), have insuperable sex problems. She keeps on rejecting him. At forester Anton (Rudolf Lucieer) and his wife Elisabeth (Loes Wouterson) something else is going on. She desperately wants a child, but he is sterile. Thomas becomes friends with the mailman. The mailman is a manipulator who is obsessed by the private lives of the occupants of the district. Before delivering the mail he first read it himself.
