Movie Plot : Paris. The police force has to face a gang of heavily armed and violent robbers for some months now. The director of the judicial police force, Robert Mancini (André Dussollier) speaks clear language to his two inspectors, Léo Vrinks (Daniel Auteuil) and Denis Klein (Gérard Depardieu). He, who gets the gang, will become his continuator. The inspectors however have completely different characters and they both have their own ways of working as a result of which cooperation between the two goes everything but smoothly.

Movie Plot : The movie tells the stories of five different women. They live in the surroundings of Los Angeles. Although they don’t know each other, they have something in common. They are in search for truth love. Dr. Keener (Glenn close) is a successful gynaecologist, who takes care of her invalid mother in her free time. The ambitious Rebecca (Holly Hunter) gets pregnant of her married friend and Rose (Kathy Baker) is a writer who starts an affair with a midget from the street. Furthermore there is the actress Christine (Calista Flockhart), she looks after her sick friend Lilly in her free time. And finally, there is policewoman Kathy (Amy Brenneman). Kathy never makes time for some romance in her life in contrast to her blind sister Carol (Cameron Diaz). When a colleague of Kathy shows interest in her, she just is going to have to. Although all women are successful and intelligent, they all seem to find it hard to give more content to their lives.

Movie Plot : When the father of yuppie Charley (Tom Cruise) dies, he inherits a classic car and an unknown brother. Raymond (Dustin Hoffman) is autistic, but is able to solve complicated mathematical questions. Their father left all his money to Raymond, whereas he totally has no idea what money is used for. Charley is furious and kidnaps Raymond from his nursing home. He finds out that Raymond does not want to fly, so therefore they are forced to travel by car.
