Movie Plot : Patrick Kenzie (Casey Affleck) and Angela Gennaro (Michelle Monaghan) are private detectives in Boston. Both gathered wisdom out of there mistakes and started to know the city in a lot of ways. When a 4-year-old girl became kidnapped, at first instance they do not want to take the case. But her aunt keeps on begging and after a time the detectives surrender. They get involved in the web of criminality and they have to put everything on the line.

Movie Plot : When the year runs to an end, Precinct 13, one of the oldest police-offices in Detroit is about to be closed. Jake Roenick (Ethan Hawke) is one of the few agents that are still on duty. He is getting it more busy than normal when a blizzard causes them to get a visit of a prisonertransport. The criminals, amongst them the notorious Marion Bishop (Laurence Fishburne), temperarely are locked up at Precinct 13 until the roads are clear again. When the night comes, two masked men who want to rescue Bishop assault the policestation. They withstand the attack, but they realize that Precinct 13 has to face a long, bloody night.
