Movie Plot : Alex (Luke Wilson) is a writer having a writer's block and moreover he has huge gambling debts. To be able to pay these debts, he must finish his book within 30 days else he will become the prey of the creditors. He hires stenographer Emma to help him. Movie Plot : Sir Robert King (David Calder) is a rich man since he has oil fields in Azerbaijan and is busy with a new project: the construction of a new oil pipeline to the West. At a visit to M (Judi Dench) in the headquarters of MI6 in London he is killed however. James Bond (Pierce Brosnan) still tries to warn Sir King but he is late. During this attempt a lady unknown to him fires at him. With the help of M, James finds out that this mysterious lady is in service of Renard (Robert Carlyle), a relentless terrorist. The daughter of Sir King, Elektra (Sophie Marceau), who is determined to finish the new pipeline, her father’s life work, proves to be kidnapped by Renard. Sir King however, on M’s advice never paid the ransom. M. and James think that Elektra’s life is in danger and M sends James, armed with the last gadgets of Q (Desmond Llewelyn), to Azerbaijan to protect Elektra and to find out who has killed her father.

Movie Plot : It is the end of the 13th century. Movie Plot : 1911. The farmer Charles Saganne (Gérard Depardieu) takes voluntarily service at the French army and is sent to the Sahara. There he serves under the aristocratic colonel Dubreuilh. Already rapidly he distinguishes himself and enforces the respect at both his colleague soldiers and at the Arabs. He is sent to Paris for a diplomatic mission, which pitifully failed. Back in the Sahara he leads the campaign against sultan Omar. He acquires celebrity and military honor, but heroic deeds and idealism prove to be less suitable for the trenches of WO I.
