Movie Plot : “The Hottest State” is the story about the 21-year-old William (Mark Webber), who moves from Texas to New York to pursue an acting career. He ends up in the artistic, grungy scene of artists, writers and musicians and meets the singer/songwriter Jesse (Laura Linney). Besides all kinds of difficulties in his personal life and the search for his own identity, William also has to face a very tempestuous, but difficult love relation with Jesse.
