Movie Plot : The story is based on an ancient Chinese saying, which subdivides life in four emotional cornerstones: luck, pleasure, grief and love. The saying does not see these emotions as isolated, but together they form the human being. Each of the four persons in this story is based on one of these emotions. And just like in the saying, their ways also are connected with each other.

Movie Plot : In The Siege the United States are stricken by a number of successive terrorist attacks in with a lot of dead. FBI agent Hubbard (Denzel Washington) goes in search of the perpetrators when he crosses CIA policewoman Elise Kraft (Annette Bening) path. She seems to have information which she keeps back for Hubbard. When hundreds of dead fall at the continuing attacks the army is called in under the guidance of general Deveraux (Bruce Willis), what even makes the situation worse.
