Movie Plot : Mooseport is a quiet, pleasant borough in New England. The fact that Monroe Cole (Gene Hackman), the former president of America, withdraws himself in Mooseport, known for its quite an honor for its inhabitant. Before he can retire quietly, he is asked if he wants to become the new mayor. He accepts the challenge. During the campaign he falls for the charming Sally (Maura Tierney), who has a relation with Handy Harrison (Ray Romano), owner of the local handy shop. Movie Plot : A young woman (Geneviève Bujold) is a doctor in a hospital in which mysterious things happen. Relatively healthy patients get complications during simple operations and get in a coma. The patients then are transferred to an institute which keeps an eye on them. She starts a research in the hospital and the institute.
