Movie Plot : Rome, June 6th. The American ambassador Robert Thorn hurries himself to the hospital because his wife Katherine must deliver a baby. Unfortunately the baby dies. But in consultation with a priest - and without Katherine knowing - another newborn baby who doesn’t have parents anymore is renamed to Robert and Katherine's son Damien. Till his fifth birthday everything goes well, the only exception is their first visit to the church. But then a serial of accidents begins which starts with the suicide of the baby-sitter. A priest and a journalist warn Robert that something strange is going on.
