Movie Plot : The widower Baron Von Trapp (Christopher Plummer) with discipline takes care of his family close to Salzburg. This however changes when the nanny Maria (Julie Andrews), who has failed as a nun, arrives. She dances through the hills and inspires everyone to sing and to see beauty in the smallest things. When the Baron organizes a party to introduce his new fiancée, Maria knows for sure: a life as a nun is nothing for her. She marries with the baron, but when the German oppressor wants the baron back in military service, their luck is in danger.
