Movie Plot : The movie tells the story of Jessica Savitch, a newsreader that became the first female news anchor in the seventies. She (Michelle Pfeiffer) is taken under the wings of Warren (Robert Redford), and becomes a TV-star. In spite of her love for Warren she takes large risks by moving to Philadelphia. He follows her to save her uncertain career, this at the cost of his own career.

Movie Plot : In the near future, the polar caps are melted and the world is almost completely flooded. With old boats and improvised floating cities, people try to survive. The leader of some pirates, the Deacon (Dennis Hopper) attacks one of those cities to catch a little girl, who seems to have tattooed a map to the mythical ‘Dry Land’ on her back. With the aid of a mysterious mutant (Kevin Costner), the little girl and her mother can escape, but the Deacon does not give up that easily.
