Movie Plot : The music festival 'Zaïre '74' brought an unique group of soul and R&B artists of America, such as James Brown, Bill Withers and B.B. King, as well as some African musicians such as Miriam Makeba and Afrisa together. The festival in Kinshasa was kept at the same time as the not less legendary fight between Foreman and Muhammad Ali, the 'Rumble in the Jungle'. For nearly all Afro-Americans it was their first visit to Africa, the 'Motherland' of which they had rather naive and idealistic ideas. The rock-hard life in the streets of Kinshasa and the hard hand of dictator Mobutu make them changing their opinion rather quickly.
