Movie Plot : The extravagant transsexual 'Busty Rusty' and the retired police officer Walt Koontz live in the same apartment bldg. in New York opposite each other. The ultra manly old-officer is extremely annoyed about the man in the dress with his singing friends, which exists out of just as extroverted dressed cousins. Hit by a stroke, a doctor advises Koontz to take singing lessons, to recover his speech capacity. The only singing teacher, who lives near, is the singing neighbor who he hates that much.

Movie Plot : Charlie Long (Nicolas Cage) is a police officer in New York. He leads a quiet and modest life and has everything to be happy. His wife Muriel (Rosie Perez) has a different meaning about this. In the hope to escape this disconsolate existence, she tries her luck by buying lottery tickets. One day Charlie has a breakfast with a colleague in a snack bar. When he wants to pay, he hasn’t got enough money to tip waitress Yvonne (Bridget Fonda). He finds the lottery ticket of his wife in his pocket which he still had to be validated, and promises Yvonne half of the possible profit.
