Movie Plot : During the First World War, five men get the order to proceed to the first firing line. A court-martial decided to punish them and leave them behind in this lonely region, so they will be killed in battle. It is over there they die. Only a young, handicapped girl who was engaged with one of the men, gets some information that makes her think that he survived it. She decides to do her best during a long, difficult en mostly frustrating search for the truth.

Movie Plot : The clumsy Charbyt, daughter of a rich and important businessman, disappears during a holiday in Mexico. Detective Depardieu gets the task to find her with father’s bungling accountant Richard. Richard’s method of searching has more success than the serious detective work of Depardieu. Because the accountant is just as clumsy as the daughter he follows in her footsteps and makes the same mistakes and falls in the same pits. Depardieu eventually accepts Richard’s success with grumble and there arise a particular link between that two.
