Movie Plot : The twelve-year-old Gilles wants to become a pro soccer player and to play as a Red Devil in the King Boudewijnstadion. Movie Plot : In the 70’s, Chaya (Laura Fraser), a trendy student in philosophy, takes a second job as a nanny at the Hasidic Jewish family Kalman. As a broad-minded Jewish girl, Chaya has a lot of difficulties with the strict rules of the orthodox family. It doesn’t take long before she comes into collision with father Kalman (Jeroen Krabbé), who heartlessly governs his family without emotion. Chaya wants to quit her job, but her endearment for the little mute Simcha (Adam Monty) makes her decide to go on. The tie between Chaya and Simcha keeps on getting stronger; she teaches him how to talk, she starts understanding the social world and the grief of the family. Also the 30-year-old search for two lost trunks by her father gradually becomes an unrealizable but understandable self-imposed mission.
