Movie Plot : Three Americans work in Moscow on a low-budget movie. Billy (Marina Zudina), a make-up artist, one evening is a witness of a horrible murder on the set. Escaping without being seen is no longer possible, calling for help is also impossible, because she is 'mute', as the title already indicates. When Billy reports the crime to the authorities, nobody believes her. The killing, as it happens, was filmed and only the killer and Billy know that, what she has seen was not acted. The killers have their instructions: no witnesses. For this reason Billy is hunted down. She and her friends get entangled in a web of lies, corruption and fraud where even the KGB gets involved in.
