Movie Plot : For years a dark and forbidden house stands on top of the hill, or so it seems. Intrigued by the dark past of the house Dr. Marrow (Liam Neeson) lures three guinea pigs, Theo (Catherine Zeta-Jones), Nell (Lili Taylor) and Luke (Owen Wilson), to the house to carry out a seemingly harmless experimenting with him. At her arrival, Nell feels attracted to the house in a mysterious way and this interest proves to be mutual. At night the problems really start and the experimenting seems to go to the bad. The three discover the terrible mysteries the house on the hills carries within.

Movie Plot : Each year a group of grasshoppers come to the anthill to eat the food the ants have collected for them. One day, when the preparations for this sacrifice have been round off, Flik (Dave Foley) accidentally throws the whole offering in the river. The grasshoppers give the ants a second chance. Flik goes in search for other insects that want to take part in a combat against the grasshoppers, but he returns with a circus crew. Slightly based on Kurosawa's "Seven Samurai".

Movie Plot : After wounding up his such-and-such assignment successfully, the police force negotiator Danny (Samuel L. Jackson) is worshipped by his colleagues and the press. That evening his partner tells him, he has some proof about fraud in the police department. When he arrives at the agreed time on their meeting place, Danny's partner proves to be killed. The worshipped police man promptly is accused of murder. He goes to internal affairs and insists on getting the complete truth of their chef, Terence Niebaum (J.T. Walsh). The conversation gets out of hand and Danny takes Niebaum and the three other present people as his hostages. Because he knows like no-one else how the police handle such a situation, he asks help from an outsider: another negotiator, Chris Sabian (Kevin Spacey)...
