Movie Plot : In the 12th century the humble French blacksmith Balian (Orlando Bloom) has just lost his wife and child, when he meets knight Godfrey of Ibelin (Liam Neeson), who tells him that he is his father. Godfrey asks Balian to go with him on crusade to Jerusalem, to fight in the long bloody war for the Holy Land. As a stranger in strange surroundings, he has to serve a damned King, basks a forbidden love for an exotic queen and gets raised to the knighthood. In an attempt to keep the fragile peace, Balian of Ibelin eventually must try to protect the people of Jerusalem against a very powerful enemy.

Movie Plot : Almost everybody on board of the cruise chip S.S. Karnak which is cruising down the Nile, has a reason to want the rich heiress Linnet Ridgeway (Lois Chiles) dead. Her jewels are coveted by the older Mrs. Van Schuyler (Bette Davis), her maid is angry because she doesn’t get her promised raise, writer Salome Otterbourne (Angela Lansbury) is about to face a court case instituted by Linnet. When Linnet is found dead it is up to the Belgian detective Hercule Poirot (Peter Ustinov) to unravel the mystery.
