Movie Plot : The story is about a hotel in Berlin where nothing happens. Grusinskaya (Greta Garbo) is a solitary Russian ballerina with suicide tendencies; Felix von Geigern (John Barrymore) is her lover who actually is a jewellery thief. Flaemmchen (Joan Crawford) is a stenographer who uses her sex-appeal to obtain a minimum economic certainty in a men’s world. Otto (Lionel Barrymore) is a sickly accountant who has embezzled some money to overindulge himself for the last time, whereas Preysing (Wallace Beery) is a manufacturer who desperately tries to complete a big deal successfully.
