Movie Plot : Marriages are the ideal moments to see each other again. Charles (Hugh Grant) lives together with his sister and weekly experiences a marriage and this doesn’t make him happy. This time however, he meets the young American lady Carrie (Andie MacDowell) on a wedding party, on whom he falls in love, but she is already about to marry someone else. Therefore again a wedding party. Will he ever marry and will his friends also become happy.

Movie Plot : It's almost the end of WOII. The Germans have lost most of France and the Allies decide to give them the last blow. They plan to drop thousands of soldiers in The Netherlands and to keep a few key positions until reinforcement arrives. The most important place is a bridge near Arnhem. When this one is captured, it can block everything of Western Germany.
