Movie Plot : On December 8th 1995, Jean-Dominique Bauby (Mathieu Amalric), journalist at the French Elle and just 43-years-old got a stroke. He got in a coma and when he came at conscience, he was completely paralyzed, with exception of one eye. The movie tells about these true happened events how Bauby was locked up in his not functioning body. His one working eye became his only connection with the outside world, by simply blinking one time for 'yes' and two times for 'no'.

Movie Plot : The Turkish Senay and the Nigerian Okwe are working together in a hotel in the London slums. Okwe is combining this with a second job as a cab driver. To stay awake he chews all day on coka leaves and tries to rest on Senay's sofa whenever is possible, or plays chess with his Chinese friend who's working at the mortuaries as a doorkeeper. When Okwe finds a human heart in a blocked toilet in one of the hotel rooms, he finds out that the owner of the hotel not only is busy with giving people a place to stay at night, but also has a flourishing trade in organs for which he uses the hotel as the center of the trade.
