Movie Plot : 476 D.C. The once so powerful Roman Empire shakes to its foundations. Romulus Augustulus (Thomas Sangster) , the imperial throne continuator, is caught by the Goths and locked up in an isolated stronghold. Movie Plot : It is 1193 before Christ. Movie Plot : On the evening of his engagement with Ethne, daughter of a perished officer, Harry Faversham gets to hear that his regiment will be shipped to the then British colony Sudan, to suppress a rebellion of Moslem extremists. Harry however doesn’t like the idea to fight a battle in a strange place that doesn’t concern him and he takes dismissal. This is not received favorably by his friends and they send him each a white feather, the brand mark of a coward in army surroundings. Moreover he also gets a fourth white feather of his fiancée, who considers their relation as concluded with it. When the first bulletins of victims reach United Kingdom, and Harry is searching in vain for the names of his friends between the lists of the ones that are killed in action, he goes to Sudan to return the feathers by means of a heroic deed.

Movie Plot : Trainspotting tells the story of the unemployed Mark Renton (Ewan McGregor) who wants to lend color to the everyday life in Edinburgh with his so-called friends. Their life mainly exists out of drinking beer, going out, drugs and playing soccer. That is their way of passing the nineties. Because of several events Mark decides to choose for a new life that he wants to build apart from his past one in London. As one of his former friends, Begbie (Robert Carlyle), gets in trouble in Edinburgh, he finds some place to stay at Mark’s place. When the others also come to London, Mark seems to pick up his old habits under pressure of his Scottish friends.
