That day however, she sees how Robbie (James McAvoy), the son of the clerk of the house, let Briony's sister Cecilia (Keira Knightley) strips for him. Afterwards she reads an obscene letter from Robbie to Cecilia and draws her own conclusions. When her niece Lola is violated the next day, she accuses Robbie without any proof.
