Movie Plot : Le Ly (Hiep Thi Le) leaves her farmer village because of the violence of the Vietcong and flees with her mother to Saigon. She is dishonored by almost her entire family because of her pregnancy and she moves in at her sister. There she meets Steve Butler (Tommy Lee Jones), an American soldier. They become in love with each other and Steve decides to take her along to America.
