Movie Plot : Somewhere in the late forties the lifeless body of Elizabeth Short is found in a house where there is evidence that she had been tortured some days before her dead. Two LAPD-officers are put on the case, and Bucky, one of them, discovers pretty fast that his own girlfriend had a connection with the victim. Moreover the investigation rapidly leads to corruption in the police department.

Movie Plot : Carter Nix (John Lithgow) is an excellent children psychologist.
