Movie Plot : On the terrace of an ice-cream parlor, artist Diego falls for David, one and all a macho student. David will have nothing to do with a physical approach but he gets intrigued by Diego's preference for foreign spirits, Maria Callas, prohibited literature and subversive art. That is all enough to report Diego at the authorities, whom David considers at first, but his fascination for David wins. Moreover: Diego's knowledge about Cuban literature is enormous and that sets David’s mind at rest. In spite of everything Diego has got to be a patriot. Gradually a pure friendship between Diego and David develops what results in a mutual respect. Respect for dissidents, something what was impossible for many years in Cuba (and still is impossible a lot of times).
