Movie Plot : At the Oxford University, Charles Ryder by coincidence meets Sebastian Flyte, son of Lord Marchmain. They get befriended and Sebastian invites Charles for a visit at their estate: Brideshead Castle. There Charles is stunned by the extravagance and luxuriously of the British high society. But once he got used to his new surroundings he sees that except a lot of money and a title, the Marchmains have the necessary complex family problems. He gets entangled in the tragic destiny of this family.

Movie Plot : Europe, the near future. Thomas Nielsen (Andreas Wilson) is an expert in molecular biology. As many of his ambitious colleagues, he believes that genetic manipulation can improve people. Vincent Iparrak (Diogo Infante), called "the hunter", is a charismatic serial killer who cut his victims throat with a hunting knife. Locked up in an ultramodern prison, he awaits his execution. Thomas makes Iparrak a very attractive offer. The scientist will prove that Iparrak's DNA has some errors. With this proof, he can escape the sentence. There is one condition. The killer must grant authorisation to Thomas for an experiment: injecting a serum which changes the genes and neutralises the murderous pulses. But is science able to correct God's errors?

Movie Plot : Rome, 44 before Christ. Julius Caesar returns to Rome after his triumph in Spain. There he finds a state, which finds oneself in decline and is controlled by a senate corrupted by power. Blood will flow and then the heavy task will rest on a man to control the Roman realm... Octavius, the 17-years-old cousin of Caesar, is a Roman citizen who welcomes Caesar at his re-entry from Spain. But amongst the select company nobles that surrounds Caesar, disorder, anger and resentment is brewing. Only a few days later, on March 15th, Caesar becomes the victim of a conspiracy where also the senators Cassius and Brutus have been involved with; 23 stab wounds put an end to the life of the celebrated dictator. With his last strengths Caesar appoints is impulsive and inexperienced cousin Octavius as the successor. General Marcus Antonius claims the throne for himself and won’t accept that someone who has grown up in luxuriously and never has seen a battlefield from close by along with the booty. Thereby the assassins of Caesar, who want to deal with all descendants of the dictator, support him.

Movie Plot : On September 23rd, 1939 the young pianist Wladyslaw Szpilman plays (Adrien Brody) while the Germans bomb Warsaw to the ground, 'Nocturne in d minor' of Chopin on the radio. A half hour after this performance the hall of the Polish broadcasting is also bombed and is definitively from the air. The consequences of then the next occupation are dreadful for the inhabitants of Warsaw: the ghetto, the Jewish rebellion, and the deportations. Whereas his complete family and a lot of friends are massacred, Szpilman survives in the ruin of his beloved city. It is remarkable that he not only gets aid of Polish resistance fighters, but also of the German officer Wilm Hosenfeld (Thomas Kretschmann), which heard him playing the piece of Chopin on September 23rd.
