Movie Plot : The new doctor Malcolm Sayer (Robin Williams) has to face a ward full of coma patients. He is dismayed about the fact that they are in a coma for years, without hope for recovery. When he finds a potential medicine he gets the authorization to try it out on one of the patients. The man (Robert De Niro), who awakes, got in a coma when he was still a child.

Movie Plot : Paris, 1959. Once the saxophonist who at present plays at the Blue Note bar was one of the greatest. He lives together in a hotel with some other black American musicians, who try to keep him away from alcohol, so that he can give a performance each evening. A young artist, who is impressed a lot by his music, takes care of the musician and ensures that he composes and starts taping again. The saxophonist even gives up the alcohol, but the question is if he can keep this up in New York, without his French friend?
