Movie Plot : New Year's Eve 1981. We follow a number of people in their twenties and young people who are on their way to a party. All of them are in search for love and adventure and have to struggle with their daily problems. One just has ended his relation and a girlfriend tries to cheer him up. Two girlfriends get lost and end up in a punk rock bar. And somewhere on the other side of the city a naïve girl is having a blind date, who desperately tries to escape his ex-girlfriends. The hostess of the party is afraid nobody shows up. And then also a good-tempered taxi driver appears regularly.

Movie Plot : Kathleen Kelly (Meg Ryan) and Joe Fox (Tom Hanks) both have a bookshop in New York. Kathleen has a small, pleasant children book store and Joe has one of the biggest book shop chains in Manhattan which competes all stores away with their enormous discounts. Joe and Kathleen thus are each other's enemy in the daily life. But both Kathleen and Joe have found their big love on the Internet.
