Movie Plot : In this movie a friendship between country owner Alfredo (Robert De Niro) and a farmer son Olmo (Gérard Depardieu) arises against the background of the Italian life in the first half of the 20th century. The realization of farmer oppression leads to the rise of Fascism in Italy as a result of which the friendship is put to the test.
