Movie Plot : Cartoonist Stu Miley (Brendan Fraser) is about to get success with his creation "Monkeybone" and is happy with his beautiful girlfriend Julie (Bridget Fonda). On the evening he wants to propose destiny strikes however: he gets an accident and gets in a coma. His spirit is moved to Downtown, a place between life and dead that is populated by characters from the nightmares of people. Stu does whatever is possible to return to earth, but when his alter ego Monkeybone gets this chance instead of Stu, the problems really starts.

Movie Plot : The big boss of TV station TrueTV serious worries himself because even the garden canal gets higher ratings. An employee of the station comes up with an idea: follow a man the complete day, 7 days a week. After a long search, they find Ed Pekurny (Matthew McConaughey), an employee of a video shop. He doubts if he wants to give up his privacy, but eventually he chooses for money and fame. EdTV has arisen, but how will his surroundings take it.
