Movie Plot : “The Namesake” is a movie about some Indian immigrants and the cultural differences between two of the world’s largest cities, News York and Calcutta. Once the immigrants have arrived in the land of hopes and dreams, it doesn’t seem to be the way they expected it and a hard struggle to survive starts.

Movie Plot : Maggie and Rose are sisters, but they differ as a day and night. Maggie is beautiful and sexy, a bit superficially and charming. She has a relation with a divorced colleague, of which she hopes it will end up in a marriage. When Maggie is sacked at her such-and-such job, she goes to Rose for help, who tries to help her sister again as usual. But when it appears that Maggie not only have a preference for the shoes of Rose, but also for her lover, their already shaky relation goes off the rails. Then Ella comes in their life: their grandmother who they haven’t seen for twenty years. She brings Maggie and Rose together in her house in Florida, on which hilarious and heartbreaking adventure follows.

Movie Plot : Electrician Gus (Matt Dillon) is besides himself with joy when he and a some friends gets the chance to renovate the local bowling alley of which they all have a lot of childhood memories. But because he has separated of Leonora, he is back in paying alimony and for this reason he doesn’t get a loan at the bank to do a down payment. Frustrated by this setback, he comes up with the plan to help Leonora (Annabella Sciorra) getting a new husband as soon as possible, so that he released from his alimony duty. But this also creates its own problems. His current girlfriend Rita (Mary-Louise Parker) notices that Gus spends more time to his ex-wife then to her. And in the meantime feeling re-arise at Gus and Leonora of which they thought they didn’t have them anymore for a long time.
