Movie Plot : “Funny Games” is a psychological thriller in which two seemingly civilized young men terrorize and maltreats a family without a reason. Anna (Susanne Lothar), Georg (Ulrich Mühe) and their little son Georgia just arrived at their holiday cottage. Whereas Anna starts making some food, her husband and son rig up the boat. Suddenly Peter (Frank Giering) is at the door; a boy who on behalf of the neighbors comes to borrow a couple of eggs. He behaves in an irritating way and has no intentions to leave. Just a bit later his friend Paul (Arno Frisch) also stands in the passageway. In an extremely polite way, the boys are as bold as brass and in spite of her request they refuse to leave the house. Also Georg doesn’t succeed in escaping their pushing behavior. Quickly it appears that their summer holiday changes in an atrocious nightmare.
