Movie Plot : This movie describes how a woman is selected as the messenger of a deceased Brazilian priest by a concurrence of. This priest has made his life work of translating a letter, which supposedly would be the most direct reproduction of Jesus words, as we know it. She receives parts of this writing by means of a trance. What however also is transferred to her are the stigmata of this excommunicated priest, the wounds of Jesus which normally only extremely religious persons receives.

Movie Plot : Armand (Robin Williams) might have have a son (Val), but he is openly homosexual. The boy thus was educated by two fathers, who managed a nightclub together where Albert (Nathan Lane) could be seen as a transvestite. Their son Val however now is engaged with the daughter of Kevin Keely (Gene Hackman), a senator, who absolutely won’t give his blessing for a marriage if he knew that the parents of Val were two men.
