Movie Plot : Six people in California (five women and a man) start a book club in which they discuss literature of Jane Austen. We see how they meet each other and how an environment is created in which love, friendship, arguments and all kinds of modern relations, arises. They realise that they themselves live in a 21ste a century version of Jane Austen’s story.

Movie Plot : The movie tells the stories of five different women. They live in the surroundings of Los Angeles. Although they don’t know each other, they have something in common. Kathy never makes time for some romance in her life in contrast to her blind sister Carol (Cameron Diaz). When a colleague of Kathy shows interest in her, she just is going to have to. Although all women are successful and intelligent, they all seem to find it hard to give more content to their lives.

Movie Plot : New York, the early evening. Hundreds of vehicles pass through the tunnel that connects Manhattan with New Jersey. Tourists, employees, hasted businesspeople, cabs and trucks all are driving in the direction of the suburbs. A stolen car moves against high-speed between all other traffic to get rid of the police. All of a sudden the driver looses control of his car. The car hits a truck loaded with toxic and highly inflammable products at full speed. The truck explodes and just a few seconds later the complete tunnel is on fire. The skeleton of the tunnel collapses on the with bodies scattered asphalt. The water of the East River starts to run into the impermeable tunnel. The former head of the medical urgency team, Kit Latura, is the only one who can save the few survivors from dead by drowning or suffocation.
